I'm looking for a good book on modern economics with a socialist leaning. I just read "Lessons for the young economist", a book based in Austrian school thought. I'd like to read a book on Keynesian economics as well to get a good rounded basic knowledge of the field. The book also addresses human nature, and how, under socialist systems, the most ruthless savages have a tendency to rise to the top, perhaps helping to explain the staggering death toll of socialism.
The book is easy to read, but not simplistic. It’s organized and in chapters of a size that the content is easy to tuck away. The brief summaries at the end of each chapter are perfect!
